Visiting Angels, "America's Personal Choice In Homecare," opened in Sioux Falls in April of 2003. The agency is owned by David Petersen and managed by Debra Velazquez, a Registered Nurse with over 22 years of healthcare experience.

Dave became interested in Senior Homecare after a personal experience in trying to find homecare for his aging 90-year old grandmother in a neighboring state. Deb was the Director of Nursing, at a long-term care facility, and loved the idea of offering homecare services as an option to nursing home placement. Together they decided to bring this much-needed service to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and the surrounding area.
